Is there any type or brand or model of pen that you recommend for taking notes and doing math?
I had an excellent one that blew the fuck out of every regular bic ballpoint I had tried before, but never paid attention to the brand or model.
Recently a doctor stole it from me (asked me if I had a pen cuz he needed to sign some papers, left without returning it), and now I don't know which one to buy. I ca't find the same model on the internet from descriptions.

g2 .38 is ideal .5 is acceptable

I fucking hate pilot. They don't reliably lay down ink and require going back over what you wrote.
Right now I use Paper Mate Profile bold 1.4mm
Very smooth and consistent.
Pro tip: If you have a pen that was good then keep the tip and you can swap it into the ink tube of a shit pen with some pliers (can be a bit messy).
