🧵 A mire of useless garbage.

Anonymous No. 16246639

All I need to know is how to find one fucking measurement of a triangle for a woodworking project.

I just spent an hour smashing my face into a garbage pile of every useless pile of shit EXCEPT what I need.
>Bro here's how you measure a triangle's median line!
Thanks you fuckhead I need a SLICE of the Median line. That's the ratio from median measurement to what I need? (Edge to centroid)
>Durrr I don't know!
>But did you know triangles can be isosceles?!
Yes I did. Now what do I need to do to get this one simple measurement?
>Do you want to know how to find the angle of a median line?
No. I don't. Fuck off.

God fuck I hate this shit. "Bro but these are all the measurements school teaches us!" yeah, I don't fucking need those.
Please, for the love of fuck, just give me a simple answer.
I can measure the (Equilateral) triangle edges. I just need to know hot to convert that into the distance from a triangle's edge to it's centroid.

A formula. That's all. Some shit I can plug into a calculator with that measurement. For the love of fuck, please can someone just give me an actual answer.

The outside angle is 30 degrees.
The base is 1/2*edge_length
tan(30º) = segment_length/(1/2*edge_length)
segment_length = tan(30º)*edge_length/2

So what can you actually measure? Just the edge triangles?

The edges and also the Median distance with a square if needed.

My wood needs no luck.

in a Barycentric coordinate system that's just (1/3, 1/3, 1/3)
