State-Dependent Memory (SDM or State-Dependent Learning) as far as I understand implies that stimulation can aid in memory and help individuals recall information better than they would not have.

Think about those Spacers in Dune - Instead of robots doing the work of flying around, they get dudes to do lines of worm shit and ghost-ride The Enterprise.
