Why do most very intelligent people end up NEETs? Yes, there are very intelligent people in industry/academia but it seems to be only a handful and the rest are just kings of midwits.

Most people perpetuate ways of thinking and doing that are more destructive than constructive. Almost no one is dedicated to making life on Earth as good as possible for as many people as possible. People only value your contribution to their lowest drives: to make them feel good, to make them money, to make them powerful, to give them what they think they want. There are no higher values, no higher goals anymore. To be trapped on Earth full of such people must be a punishment.

I could tell you the answer, but you won't listen.
It's because humans are demons. A demon is a champion of chaos, a servant of the black serpent apophis. Humans spread chaos and death wherever they go. Intelligence is divine and therefore an enemy of evil, so it must be suppressed by demonic forces. If not, demons will be destroyed.

Nothing wrong with being a NEET if you're not a burden on someone else. This sounds like just another variation of the "High IQ people owe me toys and entertainment" thread that keeps getting posted by a bored midwit who probably himself is a NEET that's a burden on his poor mother.

I like to think of it in terms of Roy Batty and his monologue in Blade Runner.
When you've seen all of those magnificent things that your mind lets you see, everything else pales in comparison and becomes unimportant. At that point, something like a fancy car or an apartment won't get you excited. And claiming them just as a status symbol has no meaning if the game has no meaning for you.
I see why it's something that would blow away the minds of alpha/betta/sigma wannabes

How in the fucking world would it occur to you to associate Perelman with the word "NEET"?
He had a successful career, which he abandoned. He has a rank of a university professor, so basically can't achieve more in the "education" part of the word. Nothing is known of his current employment, might be unemployed doing some odd jobs or even having a full time job not associated with his previous career.
Do people equate the word NEET with unemployed now?

Smart people don't become clapping seal NPC's in labcoats. I knew at age 11 that the entire science system was corrupt and that evil people would use my intelligence to kill and steal and gain themselves power. So I avoided that life at all costs....why? Because I'm smart. Smart people see the danger of modern society and avoid it at all costs. Smart people can't be corrupted by prestige and fiat cash, NPC professor seals can. It's basic bitch logic that only the dumbest of the "smart people" would opt into such an evil and corrupt system. The real smart people know you can't win no matter what.
Uncle Ted was a certified boy genius and he moved to the woods. He was smart, that's why.
The only winning move is not to play, you'd know that if you were really smart.

Thanks, I actually live off grid in a cabin in the woods myself. Watching Oppenheimer was awesome because it's what I've been preaching for decades. These "successful scientists" are only given resources to work on weapons and profit generation projects. Their gifts are wasted for evil and 100 out of 100 times they never question it. They become possessed with ego and the unstoppable need to "discover" and "invent". They will kill and do anything to chase this egotistical high. Oppenheimer a prime example of this. So blinded to the consequences of their actions they march full speed into oblivion every time and worse of all the evil reptile politicians know how to manipulate them to do the bidding of evil.
Unironically Oppenheimer would have been a better service to humanity if he would have killed himself after high school or just moved to the woods to write poetry. He is a net loss for humanity, his intelligence and "hard work" was not helpful, he was a cancer on this world as are most establishment "smart people". I'm always remionded of the famous line from Jurassic Park
>Your Scientists Were So Preoccupied With Whether Or Not They Could, They Didn’t Stop To Think If They Should

When have you ever heard these "smart people" question if they SHOULD not if they COULD? Exactly.

Speaking as a midwit in industry that taught undergrads during my PhD, the absolute dumbest kids were the neckbeard talks-about-MMOs-in-lab ones who dropped out halfway through and most likely are NEETs today. For every 1 genuine Ted K/Saint Terry, there are 100 actually schizophrenic retards.

This is a bloody weird thing to think. You're only saying this because you think of 'NEET' as meaning "loser who watches anime" or something, while ignoring that Pearlman is a dude with no official employment who lives with his mom, and hence is one, regardless of his great past achievements. If he had accepted the money, he's be every bit as much of a NEET. It's just that we don't use NEET for retired people, so the kinds of younger NEETs have a 'type'.
