Why we had to suffer, scientifically speaking?

Is it a way to please the twisted desires of some cruel god? For some sick science entity?

Anonymous No. 16251509

It's a humiliation ritual.

Suffering is the result of not living naturally

discomfort induces action to appease it, and discomfort is associated with things that are counterproductive to our survival and our reproduction.
An animal that would always feel "just fine" and never hungry, or thirsty, hot, cold, horny, sick, pain, etc, would just go extinct.

in other words, life is sadistic so that you stay alive, and if you're not suffering, someone else is suffering for you.

I remember seeing a video where a dog was being eaten alive by another dog, some kind of pitbull.
The pitbull ate from his back leg. The dog being eaten alive, stood in absolute shock, without saying anything. At one point he raises the head to the pitbull and the pitbull did that dominating move, which dogs usually do when they fight. The dog didnt bark of said anything otherwise he woulve been killed by this pitbull, he knew it. So the pitbull continued to eat away.
The suffering in this world makes no sense whatsoever, we are just being farmed to feed creatures in the 4D realm. They consume and eat away at us.
There is no escape, it goes on for eternity. Theres no point in killing yourself, youll just get respawned.
Dont try to fight it, just let them eat away.

There's no such thing as non-existence. If you suicide you're just going to be immediately reincarnated into an even worse life than you left.

No, you're paying for the things you did or failed to do in your past lives. The only way to break the cycle is to live more virtuously to pay off whatever debt of suffering you've accrued.

Suffering is course correction in nature. Remember we are all made of energy fields, so if you're suffering, you're doing something that is dissonant with the energy around you. You can brute force through it or restrategize to

Reminds me of the flawed asymmetry argument for anti-natalism. Absence of pain is good, but absence of pleasure is not bad. This is taken as axiomatic, yet contradicts basic thinking around opportunity cost and potentialities. If you had opportunities and squandered them, that is bad. If you could have raised a child which goes on to have a worthwhile life, but chose not to, that is bad. On a more isolated point I do agree with anti-natalists that they shouldn't be procreating, since they a remarkably negative mindset and would probably fail as parents, though that is a separate contingent claim based on their circumstances.

if they have bad consequences, or if you're aware of that at all. If you don't exist, none of that matters.
>If you could have raised a child which goes on to have a worthwhile life, but chose not to, that is bad.
No it's not. I completely eliminated all possibilities of that child suffering. It doesn't matter if there might have been some good. Eliminating suffering with 100% surety is what is important in that decision
>but it could have been good
who fucking cares: it's not bad. period.
also, this is PHILOSOPHY, we're OFF-TOPIC on /sci/ and I will not respond any further on that regard.
Go ahead, have children if you want. Do whatever you want.

>Why we had to suffer, SCIENTIFICALLY speaking?
the OP got his answer: living things suffer so that they act and stay alive, otherwise we'd perish in pleasant apathy. If it weren't so, everyone would be lining up to spend the rest of their lives in solitary confinement, but we do not.
Some people are born with a rare genetic variant that makes them not feel any physical pain. Without the constant overlooking of their parents, those children are constantly injuring themselves, and even so, their lives are tales of constant bodily harm due to their unawareness. Ever wonder why they're rare? Because the ones who were born so in the past DIED. We're alive because, unlike them, we feel pain, and we react to avoid such pain.

If you disagree with that logical reasoning, go ahead and propose a better reasonable hypothesis that doesn't involve myth, gods, religion, etc, for the OP if you wish.
