I have been using Kratom pretty regularly for 5 or 6 years. My usage has been extremely high for the past 2yrs in particular. I usually take several grams every single day for the last 2yrs. Approximately 20 - 30grams, without fail, day after day.
The effects I noticed that made me start doing more research on its safety profile:
>strange pains in legs
>weird tingling in hands
>discomforts that didn't happen before
>noticeable reduction in cognitive ability, memory, and retention of information
>decreased motor functions
The last one in particular scares me the most. I noticed i will have a hard time holding things, sometimes my hands just automatically stop grasping or like, launch whatever is in my hand completely involuntarily.
Realistically how fucked am I? Can the damage be reversed to any extent? The worst thing is im so addicted that even knowing this stuff is potentially killing me, I still cant stop taking it.

This is kind of a huge amount of kratom, OP. If you are extremely concerned about being derpified by heavy metals, I would recommend getting blood tests of Ni and Pb levels. Then if the results confirm poisoning, maybe look at EDTA chelation therapy: https://link.springer.com/article/1
Ofc the therapy would make you lose calcium and zinc too, so you'd probably need supplements and lots more blood tests to make sure it's going OK.

Thank you kind anon. I know its a lot but tolerance slowly but surely increased from years of daily use. It was just the best solution for my poor demeanor and social skills and my work has consistently been very demanding as far as lots of social interactions per day. Before that I was using harder drugs and I was convinced kratom was the "safe" solution. Guess i was wrong, lel

You are addicted to the lead, it's what makes you adficted (it's even in e-cigarettes, because people woupdn't smoke them otherwise). Just take the lead itself, and avoid getting poisoned with random alkaloids.

Don't take EDTA, it will destroy your metabolism by ripping metals oit of proteins.

The symptoms you describe sound almost certainly neck or shoulder related. Lemme guess, you also have trouble sleeping due to sneep apnea or something like that.
>t. has supposed cervicocranial syndrome with practically every symptom you've mentioned, still haven't finalized the diagnosis however

Why do you use products (plants in this case) without reading a minimum about their benefits and risks? I've got nothing against herbal medicine, but if I see that a plant presents more risks than benefits, I skip it.

You don't want it, as the metals belong there. The majority of people have kwashiorkor today, as proteins need amino acids + metals, and they just don't work when either is missing, and most people are mentally retarded, and don't realize.

Thankfully not. i sleep like a baby every night and I fall asleep pretty much the second my head hits the pillow.

When I started using it, all the existing research suggested no real risks or dangers. I actually even participated in an NHS study on kratom users some years ago. I definitely did research, quite a bit. The only real risk that I found reports on back then were some batches being tainted with samonella. The heavy metals thing was reported by the FDA only recently as far as I can tell.
It doesn't help that google is absolutely censored garbage these days which makes research far more difficult.

If OP turns out to actually be seriously toxified by lead or nickel or whatever, I think he probably should do chelation. It does screw up your other metals, but that is what blood tests and supplements are for. If it is just kinda mild poisoning, he should be fine cutting back the kratom a bit.

I assume its probably pretty mild. I guess. I mean im still functional, definitely a bit slower, but other than my hands ungrasping infrequently, i don't feel horrible or anything. If thread is still up when I get results I'll post an update here. But that's probably going to be quite a while before I can get time off etc

Those "heavy metals" are normal parts of the proteins. I still don't know if somebody fucked up so badly, or if it's intentional deception. It's why people are getting dumb and ill.
>>16255357
Lead belongs there too. OP is far more likely to be weak from its absence, which may also cause his "addiction".
