Iberians are made of mostly:
Anatolian Neolithic Farmer
Western Steppe Herders
Western Hunter Gatherers
& a little bit of Iberomaurusian from Berber influence
(in that order)

Northeastern Euros are made of:
Western Steppe Herders
Anatolian Neolithic Farmers
Western Hunter Gatherers
& and a tiny bit of Mongolic influence, and maybe some Caucuses Hunter Gatherer for Russians depending on the region
(in that order)

Northwest Africans are made of:
Anatolian Neolithic Farmers
Iberomaurusian
& a varying degree of Steppe Herders, Natufian, Caucuses Hunter Gatherer, and west African
(in that order)

As you can see, Iberian DNA tend to agree with Russians or Finns more, but they appear “swarthy” because Steppe is the component that mostly makes you pale with light hair n stuff, which north Euros have an abundance of. Moroccans/Berbers have a unique Iberomaurusian component that makes them genetically far away from everyone.

When the Steppe Herders took over all of Europe, they didn’t go into North Africa. Neither did the Western Hunter Gatherers. So distance doesn’t matter
