no disrespect to the guy, he's done well

Came across a video about skin grafting for burn victims, a small sample can be latticed to cover a massive area and stimulate skin recovery / acceptance
ive lost a lot of weight recently and am noticing the excess skin, I try to donate blood as often as I can and joke I have "too much blood and other people need it".
Well I've lost weight and have too much skin, can I give it to someone who could benefit from it?

>Allograft: An allograft is a procedure when a donor provides skin, but it is not an identical twin. There is a higher chance of the body rejecting the new skin from an allograft because the body sees it as foreign tissue, and the immune system may attack it.
It's better than someone getting a skin graft from a pig but comes with the risk of literal skin failure.

even with that excess skin he is 100x healthier now than he was when he was obese. He probably literally added 20 years to his life

He should donate his skin to burned children.

yeah the procedure exists, hopefully we'll be able to develop techniques that improve the chance of it successfuly accepting the donor graft.

however how about the donor?
hear me out
cut the sections of skin from the donor leg tilting the cut in so its like an upside down triangle wedge of skin being removed. superglue the meat back together, bandage under compression so the skin fuses with minimal scarring?

He'll need a few grand for a surgery to cut off the excess, and he could take certain supplements and stuff to help it a little afterwords.

>will those excess go away?
no: the excess skin remains so due to the loss of elasticity in the skin's connective tissues, such as collagen and elastin. While epithelial cells may regenerate, the damaged elastic fibers do not fully recover.
This is also why some women get tummy tucks after pregnancy.
