Hey reddit, what does science say about stretching?

How often should it be done? What kind of stretching would you recommend to people who sit a lot?

stretching is good, stretch as much as possible, AKA do yoga, that is all

The science says that you either should stretch consistently or not at all and that the group that stretches inconsistently or sometimes is at the greatest risk of injury. You are welcome.
