Being more intelligent than average is a proposition, not a quantity. A correlation is measured between two quantities. Perhaps you mean the characteristic function of being more intelligent than average? Or maybe you mean the correlation between using 4chan and IQ? The two questions could very well have different answers.

It depends on which borad you frequent, and what you do on there.
If you are on boards that deal with facts and analysis, and if you genuinely try do debate in a constructive, factual way and in analytical terms, without insulting, and ready to accept defeat as a learning process, it is a constant exercise for the brain. Practice apologizing, practice admitting ignorance. The faster you do that, the quicker you move onto more learning, etc.
You're basically practicing rhetoric, logic, verbal expression, humility and respect.
I'm on here several hours each day, it keeps my brain sharp. Even though there's plenty of garbage on /sci/, there are people here that teach me lots, and crazy new ideas pop up that take your brain on new rides, everyday,

There's always been some genuinely intelligent people on 4chan in general and /sci/ specifically, but I wouldn't say the concentration is that much higher than the rest of the internet and that 4chan has been inundated by normalfags and tourists in recent years there's no reason to assume that such concentration has increased.

4chan is more intelligent than average because it requires a lot of reading relative to other websites. Sub 90-IQ people don't like to read long paragraphs which are common on this website, they like to watch short videos on youtube or tik tok, or they like to read a few sentences of niggerbabble on twitter, preferably accompanied by a picture. Also add on that the majority of the boards on this site are based around fairly high-iq hobbies, which selects for more intelligent people.

I've worked with low-IQ people before, and their type of stupidity is very different from the stupidity you commonly encounter on 4chan. It's hard to describe, but when people on 4chan are stupid it's because they're naive, or stubborn, or mentally ill, or something of the like. If I had to guess, the average IQ of a 4chan poster is probably around 110.
