People simply repeat what they're told as long as it, in some way, feeds into some delusional notion of grandiosity and not being responsible for your own weaknesses. It's a psy-op that knowingly and deliberately targets vulnerable people based on their psychological predisposition towards projection and infantile emotional reactions.
It's why the anti-vax movement took off so badly with people who already felt left behind and ignored by the government.

Med student here.
Menstrual pain is one of the core symptoms of endometriosis.
Most women have menstrual pain.
There is no way to confirm the diagnosis without laparoscopy (surgery and biopsy).
Treatment is oral contraceptives.
That information together with female social behaviour should be enough to explain the high numbers of (self) diagnosed endometriosis

Birth control. It's the same reason all those women on Yaz were getting blood clots 10-15 years ago.
It should come as no surprise that suppressing your body's natural hormone balance fucks things up.

Hmm.. I remember hearing that 1 in 4 middle aged women is on an anti-depressant, https://www.upi.com/Health_News/202
and those can raise prolactin levels. https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/ar
Prolactin can mess with the menstrual cycle, though I don’t know if it can cause endometriosis.

Gonna go in to ask my obgyn about Endo in two weeks. Friend of mine will get a laparoscopy at the end of the month.

It's common among young women too. Friend and I are under 30.
>>16263219
friend and I are very active so this seems unlikely.
I'd also like to know why I suddenly developed Endo symptoms after almost a decade off hormonal birth control...
