🧵 Science: Folic Acid Actually Pointless
Anonymous at Tue, 2 Jul 2024 08:47:29 UTC No. 16264071
In a shocking turn of events, a team of renowned researchers has made the astonishing discovery that folic acid, a nutrient long touted as crucial for fetal development and overall health, is, in fact, utterly useless. The study, https://www.dpmc.govt.nz/sites/defa
Folic acid, a synthetic form of vitamin B9, has been lauded as a wonder nutrient since its discovery in the 1930s. We've been told that it prevents birth defects, supports cell growth, and is essential for the development of red blood cells. But, like our ancestors who thought the earth was flat, we've been duped. Our research reveals that folic acid is as useful as a chocolate teapot, serving no meaningful purpose in human physiology.
Fetal development: Pregnant mice fed a folic acid-rich diet gave birth to mice of normal size and functionality, indistinguishable from those whose mothers received a placebo.
Red blood cell production: Folic acid supplementation did not alter the number or quality of red blood cells in our test subjects.
Policy Implications:
1. The mandatory fortification of food with folic acid should be repealed, allowing manufacturers to replace it with more useful additives, like fairy dust or hope.
2. Pregnant women should focus on more effective ways to influence their offspring's development, such as listening to soothing music or practicing Jedi mind tricks.
3. Healthcare providers should redirect patient inquiries about folic acid to more pressing concerns, such as "Do you floss regularly?" or "Have you considered trying yoga?"

The studies conducted to verify or "show" a benefit of "folic acid supplementation" is beyond fake and gay:
https://www.nejm.org/doi/full/10.10
https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/130
In both studies the incidence rate of neural tube defects way higher in all participants, than it is in reality.
Which is a odd observation, that even the "supplement" groups have a 5-times higher incidence rate than it is happening in reality.
This indicates, that there was a specific selection of "suceptible" individuals, which probably were exposed to other environmental toxins.
Currently the incidences of "neural tube defects" are happening in countries with the highest pollution and resource expoloitation.
>Children born next to cobalt minining cites with poisoned water supplies have neural tube defect
>WHOs conclusion: "they must be deficient in folic acid"
Despite knowing this:
https://eu-rd-platform.jrc.ec.europ
https://ehp.niehs.nih.gov/doi/full/
https://journals.lww.com/environepi
https://www.sciencedirect.com/scien
they KNOW that environmental pollution causes neural tube defects. But when conducting a stury, a multifactoral analysis is not done or even mentioned. Yet and despite the "oddity" of high incidences in their selected groups, they do not even hint into the direction of pollution and may at
least correlate it with supplementation. Amazing trickery. Consoom product preggos.

Not surprised at all. However isl necessary to tell apart the synthetic substance from natural sources of B9. Another case is food "fortified" with iron. Corporate bastards put metallic iron, that is not only useless but toxic, instead organic sources of iron that are indeed necessary.

If its Isolated from food. Then it is indeed fake and trash.
Whole foods, natrual, non hyper processed crap, has all you need.
Eating some nuts once in a while are enough to fill up your requirement for folates.
And this may not even be required since we eat so much root, and corn based products, that this may even be unnecessary.
Also gut bacteria produce it.
It's similar to supplementing water in pill form.
It may even be unhealthy when accounting for "filler" and "chemical residues" from the isolation process of folic acid itself.

the best food is when you shoot or otherwise kill a wild animal and then eat it.

it's always cringe when ''men'' (read effeminate NPCs) hunt with a rifle. Americans truly turned hunting into a disney entertainment, a facsimile of the real hunting. That's because americans have the female spirit.

Can you write down tier list of masculinity for methods of aquiring food?
Anonymous at Wed, 3 Jul 2024 10:19:05 UTC No. 16265758
>>16265751
>S Tier:
Killing animals with bare hands and eating the heart first. Raw. (The ultimate expression of primal masculinity, for the true alpha male.)
Hunter-gathering while enduring extreme weather conditions, solely using ancient survival skills passed down through generations.
>A Tier:
Hunting, butchering and preparing game meat solely with hand-crafted stone tools. (A display of rugged self-sufficiency and commitment to ancient traditions.)
Foraging for rare, exotic mushrooms deep in the wilderness, knowing precisely which varieties are edible and how to prepare them. (A badge of honor for the bold and knowledgeable forager.)
>B Tier:
Hunting animals with fire weapons.
Dominating the grill at a backyard barbecue, crafting perfectly cooked, juicy meats that impress all who taste them. (A victory in the arena of casual, socialized masculinity.)
>C Tier:
Riding the range on horseback, herding cattle and cooking simple, hearty meals over a campfire. (A nostalgic, rugged idealization of the Old West.)
Shopping for artisanal foods at trendy, organic markets, sampling rare cheeses and craft beers with an air of sophistication. (A performance of cosmopolitan, middle-class refinement.)
>D Tier:
Ordering takeout from a chain restaurant and eating it alone in front of the TV. (A resignation to comfort and convenience, lacking in adventure or panache.)
Microwaving pre-packaged meals, sustaining oneself on processed sustenance. (A meager, utilitarian approach to nourishment, devoid of flair or passion.)
>F Tier:
Eating predigested food in the form of heavily processed powders or söy shakes. (Infantilizing oneself, surrendering to the whims of industrialized convenience, and forsaking the dignity of culinary independence.)
Relying on meal delivery services, essentially outsourcing the most fundamental aspects of adulthood to hovering maternal figures. (A tragic, emasculating surrender to the comforts of being spoon-fed.)

Imagine the amount of progress that could be made on public health if medical researchers actually did their jobs instead of p-hacking clickbait titles
