Are humans getting better as a species with each generation, or are we getting worse as a species with each new generation?
I think it is fair to say that our species peaked in intelligence, looks, and physical abilities with the first wild homo sapiens, and the advent of agriculture has greatly degenerated us ever since. It seems that reliance on technology is also a massive degenerating thing for humans, as it allows weak bloodlines to propagate in a way that these bloodlines would never be able to in a natural wild environment for humans.
If you look at a comparison of skulls you can clearly see that our evolution has been going backwards, and that we have not been evolving for the better.

If humans dont have to be hunters to survive, that allows weak people to be able to reproduce. While the effects of this will not be obvious until 10-20 generations down the road, when all of the genes associated with being a predator/ hunter have all but disappeared from the genetic pool.
And evolution definitely can go backwards. Look at Pandas, they used to be at the same level as a grizzly bear, but their switching of diets from meat to bamboo shrunk their brains immensely. Just because time is passing does not guarantee that genetics are getting better. Degeneration of genetics is always a possibility for any species/

I think there is something to be said about Matriarchal societies, in that they seem to be far superior in the quality of men that they produce.
The patriarchal agricultural societies seem to produce better civilisations in terms of order and law, but they produce inferior men because of the lack of female choice over who they get to mate with, and the enforcement of monogamy.
