science can't explain introversion. it just makes no evolutionary sense

Some animals are just neurologically defective and not meant to reproduce.

if modern humans are 200k years old (allegedly), then surely the introversion-causing genes must have all been removed from the gene pool by now

Introversion genes weren't a problem until people stopped living in small groups. Before that, if you didn't pull your own weight within the tribe, you died. Only after the invention of cities and daddy state were solitary inclined people allowed to live by themselves without interacting with anyone, so maybe introversion is evolutionary on the way out.

There is NO FUCKING SENSE behind evolution, there is NO FUCKING INTELLIGENCE, NO FUCKING DESIGN.

Evolution is not a person who wakes up in the morning and says "oh I see this poor thing can't eat this hard thing, I'll give it teeth."

>there is NO FUCKING INTELLIGENCE behind evolution
It's ironic because you must lack intelligence to really believe in evolution

acceptable deviation
For the majority of human evolution, it was not harmful enough to be selected out of existence.

Nothing does if you study all the data.

Introversion is just a beta personality trait. Just look at animals. The natural order of things is that alphas get to fuck all the females while betas have to sacrifice themselves for the females' well-being without procreating. Humans are no different.

a higher than average degree of subjectivism, self-absorbtion and (mental, by extension physico-social) isolation from the world (introversion by Jung) has certain benefits - less overall exposure and more consideration of subjective perceptions of what you're exposed to
downsides compared to extraversion should be equal
there seems to be an even distribution of extraverts and introverts, anyway. by the Jungian description

Organisms, even singular cells, are intelligent and evolution consists of organisms, so evolution is intelligent.
I hope you don't unironically believe some blackpilled reductionist pseudoexplanation for life.

It makes a lot of sense. You a pre-industrial man. You see strangers far away, so you hide because you are scared by them and you run the other way. This saves your life because the strangers would probably try to kill you.

Absolutely false. Its a staple of slow life history strategy.

Introversion makes complete sense. It's a low risk strategy. Good reputation is hard build, easy to lose. If you build good rapport, as in you don't offend people and they support you, it gives you power. Being extroverted is a short term strategy. It pisses people off around you, and if you offend the wrong person, you can be ostracized.

Modern living, cities, give people relatively low stakes if they want to be extroverted, you can piss off a group of people and find another.

With contraceptives however, one night stands and short term relationships don't necessarily produce offspring. You still need to get into a long term relationship to have children in first world countries. Long term strategies, where introversion plays a part in risk management, play into forming those long term relationships.

Depends on the form of introversion.
Being able to survive independently without the herd is a massive evolutionary advantage.

I don’t think there’s “introversion” in the genetic sense. Moreso lack of social skills due to poor relationships with family/upbringing. School plays a large part as well. ( This is personal opinion )

introversion isnt defined as being social retard
it is general lack of enjoyment of social interactions especially with people who are not close to you
I'd argue big part of introverts are MORE skilled in general social interactions since they need to make concious effort to manage all their social interactions (which is mentally exhausting and this adds another reason why introverts avoid unnecessary social interactions)
