Unironically because of the american system to value science according to the amount of published papers.
That has led to a proliferation of useless junk, the chinese just took that to the extreme.

>All the biggest scientific scandals (fraud, error, lies) are American in origin, and sometimes European.

>It wasn't the Chinese who bought scientists to tell them that tobacco wasn't dangerous, it was American companies.
>It wasn't the Chinese who bought scientists to tell them that fossil fuels weren't dangerous, it was American companies.
>It wasn't the Chinese who bought scientists to tell them that sugar wasn't the main cause of metabolic and organic disorders, it was American companies.
>It wasn't the Chinese who bought scientists to tell them that feeding meat to herbivores was healthy (mad cow disease), it was American companies.

And yet you cry about the Chinese...

Yes, but why do they do it so bluntly. Anyone above the age of 16, could tell something is off about a diagram with giberish words, let alone nonsensical tetrabonded oxygen atoms in those "molecular diagrams". Maybe they're trolling, like that one polish chemist who published made up papers about polish pope's passion for matchbox collecting and got a fat stack of govt ministry of science points.

They don't read other papers (except to steal) and so they project that and assume that nobody else will read their paper except to steal.
