🧵 Chinese medicine.

Aunt took me to a homeopatic chinese clinic.
It was an homeopatic clinic, but some of the anatomy charts were in chinese.
And I'm starting to think Chinese medicine is not BS because the doctor told me about a neck issue I've never told anyone.
The doctor, she gave a bunch of injections in something that seemed acunputure and did also some chiropractic stuff, fixing a neck issue I've never told anyone.
They gave a bunch of nutritional pills, a purgative, a blood detox chinese medicine and coloidal silver plus some stuff to rest and feed my brain.
Wtf.
BTW 3 years on western medicine until the doctors told me I would had to deal with dermatitis for the rest of my life.

my mother cured her spinal disc injury with chinese accupunture. it's neither better nor worse than western medicine, just focus on different things. you can't treat cancer or do brain surgery with it but they treat some other diseases much better than western medicines.

This.
Western medicine is based entirely on keeping people healthy enough to keep them working. This applies to all diseases, including stuff like cancer.
Eastern medicine is based entirely on face. Meaning that the person prescribing you your medicine is willing to bet their reputation on it curing you.
In short, it's exactly what that anon said. Both types of medicine work, yet some ailments are better treated by one than the other.

You've been taken in by the same shit that palm readers excel at. The homeopath knows how to elicit the right sort of responses from you to ensure that her bullshit hits you in the feels. It's the same thing as when psychics tell you they are connecting with your dead uncle what'shisname.
You need to look into the literature surrounding everything you are going to be taking. Some of these substances don't have a ton of research and you shouldn't ping-pong between opinions as new studies emerge onto a dataset of like 5, but some substances are very well studied and bunk. You say you are taking coloidal silver for example. That can actually be fairly dangerous and I wouldn't recommend it in any quantity personally.

NTA, but consuming high quantities eventually poisons your organs.
Topical usage can also give your skin a permanent greyish-blue hue.
In other words, it's dangerous because most people abuse or misuse it.

It is best to take breaks and use a form of detox to allow the removal of metals. Mercury and sulfur cure most ailments, but they cause various issues, some serious, when taking too much of a dose or taking it too often.

I believe it is a person's right to consume things that could potentially poison them, in the same way that I believe it is a person's right to kill themselves at any point in their lives, as long as they do not harm others during the attempt.
Who are you to deny them that?
Also, these posts are separate people.

If homeopathy and acupuncture works, they could try and make several highly controlled studies where they study the efficacy of those, and they could be accepted into conventional medicine. But all the papers they churn out are just case reports and trials with no control groups.

You mean like how pharmaceutical companies churned out hundreds of papers propagating the myth that serotonin is linked to depression, that there's a chemical imbalance in the brain that's fixed by SSRIs, and how after decades of misinformation, hundreds of millions of people getting addicted to SSRIs, meta analyses finally proved it was all lies? Those journals, you mean, where you can pay to win for decades? It's a rigged system and don't pretend it isn't.

Homeopathy is one of many things. The issue with eastern/chinese medicine is that it's a hodgepodge of many different approaches to healing, many stemming from ancient past and only partially "updated", maybe even only partially understood. Some of it will be bullshit, some of it will be surprisingly effective even compared to western medicine, but much more fiddly and some will be some mystical stuff which can be utter garbage or work wonders.
It may be also a bit of what >>16268179 speaks of. Medicine we have in the west was developed with a different attitude and consideration. Often more standarized, technologically advanced, but meant to treat causes to keep you going (and perhaps pay for more treatment in the future) while random traditional chinese stuff may be pure scam, but it may also be done with pure intentions in which case depending on particular treatment or even the doctor treating you and his understanding of his sometimes less exact art, it may be everything from garbo to heights of understanding and managing of your condition average "modern" doctor simply never learned as more than another little problem with such and such treatment.
So yeah, it's all a crapshot of what you'll get till you'll get some experience and find something/someone you can be sure of.

Coloidal silver shouldn't hurt him if it doesn't come with some additional shit. I don't recall any case of someone hurting themselves with just that, in most cases it simply seems like a way to make your literal shit that much more silver and expensive once it goes through you, like low-quality vitamin supplements which get just pissed out.
So if the doctor really prescribed anon some and they have recommendations of close ones/reason to trust their expertise, I'd say to go with it.

TCM deals with fixing stuff on the subtle-mattered level most of all, and many diseases can be manipulated/treated from within the latter
Like the other anon ITT said, it has its use cases but you shouldn't rely on it fully
Think of it like a scalpel into the nonphysical most of all. The more your ailment is based on nonphysical (energetic) causes the better TCM will end up treating it

Our "phood" supply is poisoned. It's that simple. Even fast food menus taste different in other countries.
Different 1st world nations around the world have their own additive programs for their centralized food supply, but rarely do they poison their own population. Our sociopolitical dynamic requires that few who are in charge desperately try to poison the rest to ward off any competition, however.
Plantation politics is pure poison in 2024. They have to gradually find a more modern alternative.
