Currently reading this book. On quantificational logic. Shit gets confusing but set theory and straight propositional logic aren't that bad. Maybe I am just a retard though. Exercises are good and basically every other page has an exercise on it so far it seems.

Why don't you want to engage in conversation about trying to learn? Are you an elitist?

You cut off the author's name, angled it strangely, and still managed to get flashback. This is likely the worst image of a hardcover that a person has ever managed to capture.

What makes them a meme, and why Shilov in particular?

There are no prerequisites to Shilov and you learn linear algebra and proofs simultaneously. Not to mention, no serious academic institution offers "proof courses" prior to doing actual math anyway.
You don't need to read a 200 page book for a basic understanding of propositional logic and set theory; 2-3 lectures and a couple of exercises suffice. If you want to specialize in set theory or logic, then by all means, go for it, but Vellemann won't help you with that. Focus on gaining an actual understanding of math.

alternatively read Spivak's calculus. he too teaches you proof technique while also teaching you calculus
