Why is there salt in the fucking water? And why can fish live in both fresh water and ocean water? Why can't I drink salt water?

salt comes from rocks that dissolve into the water. salt water fish filter the salt in the water into their urine much faster than we can. you cannot filter out the salt water as fast as it comes in, and excess sodium absorbs the water that will keep you hydrated. so sea water can severely dehydrate you to the point of death if too much is consumed

Fresh water fishes cannot live in salty water and vice versa. Some exceptions may exist tho eg salmon
