>Pic related is cut in half
>splitted brain parts are now interpreting collected information as if they're 2 different people
Am i even real? Can i describe me as a "myself"?
Am i a single unit or just a lot of minds talking to each other?

you may arise as an abstract sum of those processes but that doesn't make you any less real. forms are realer than real itself

You are composed of electrons and quarks.
Quarks don't have an internal monologue. They don't have a personality or consciousness.
Ergo if you are composed of them, you can be compared with the quarks and electrons. Meaning you aren't actually conscious.
- Your logic.
Yes, splitting the brain genuinely splits a person into two persons. But that doesn't say anything about your status as one singular person, as long as this splitting hasn't been undertaken.
That the brain is actually intelligent independent of your self-aware perception can be determined in a lucid dream. In those, you can actually just speak with your brain. You can ask it questions you don't know the answer to, and you will get an answer.
Or put differently: one brain part of your brain (the aware "you") speaks to a different part of the brain.
For example, during a lucid dream I asked my brain to show me something you can drink, and it painted a picture of a tea pot. I never drink tea, and it's never on my mind.

This also happens with me. They stop talking as soon as I become lucid. They "freeze". Not like a freeze frame, they just stop talking and still stand there, blinking, looking at me, just normally, but they stop being "actors" in the world.
I assume that is because the brain has an inherent model what a non-acting human looks like (standing still, breathing, rebalancing, blinking), but actions a human performs like talking is segmented as a completely different phenomenon in the brain. So to get the "full experience", the brain combines that base human with whatever action is appropriate at that point.

>I asked my brain to show me something you can drink, and it painted a picture of a tea pot. I never drink tea, and it's never on my mind.
Actually I just remembered I didn't ask it "something you can drink", of which tea is semantically very close, but rather "something to put out a fire with", and it showed the tea pot (it painted it on a wall I was staring at, in a mildly stylized style. My (lucid) dreams are always completely photorealistic).
The semantic distance from fire extinguishing material -> water -> tea -> container of tea is rather invovled and is very impressive.
Again, this is very significant. The fact that somewhere in the universe there is human-tier intelligence that lies outside the usual purvey of aware consciousness. Conveniently that intelligence is of course located in the brain.

Everything a split brain does your brain does, the only extra thing you do is share the information more between sides.

Animals are collectives of individual cells like a beehive.

No. That would make you a retard with a brain cut in half. Complex philosophical qualia regarding the self would very well be utterly incomprehensible and imperceptible to you.

>Am i even real?
Yes, splitting your brain wouldn't change that. Despite everything: you're still you.
>Can i describe me as a "myself"?
Technically, you'd be "myselves". You'd finally have the leverage necessary to genuinely use "they/them" pronouns and not be insufferable.
>Am i a single unit or just a lot of minds talking to each other?
I think 'officially' you'd have 1.5 minds. Different hemispheres/halves do strictly different functions (like your right half controls motor skills for your left side), but I'm vaguely aware that brains, over time, will grow to adopt additional responsibilities. So, at the beginning your split brains would possess 'most' of the same inputs and be closer copies of each other, but over a period they would develop into progressively more different individuals.
I remember an extreme example of such an occurrence where a man's split brain developed diverging food preferences and his left side would actively try to stop him from eating Chinese food or something. Another instance was a man wanting to go out for the evening, while the other half of his brain wanted to say in, and to that end the left half was constantly unbuttoning his shirt, removing his shoes, etc..
