The funniest shit about this topic, is that even "smart" people have the delusion Radio Signals can communicate with aliens.

They literally can not even reach the FIRST SOLAR SYSTEM next to us and just 1 this galaxy has billions of them.

To reach Alpha Century most radio signals are just noise at that point so basically they are gone before they reach.
You CAN send Radio signals there that reach it but it's more targetted and high power.
For most intends and purposes approximately ~0% of the universe is reached now.

It doesn't have to be outside the Galaxy to be rare to have contact. We can barely communicate with the next solar system (we practically can not with Broadcasting so we literally can't even routinely do that).
And just this 1 galaxy has billions of solar systems.
