Biological constructs almost certainly take advantage of some really neat physical properties that can be of benefit to man-made constructions, but selection processes just get bodied desu.

If tuned enough it might be, but to efficiently reach consistent results digital and virtual technologies are more reliable.
It really might be useful for many situations but it lacks the adaptability of a virtual ambient so it's not likely that they'll replace digital technology.
