🧵 Energy production

Christian Universalist AI will save humanity No. 16272782

With all the theoretical sources of energy out there, what technology are we most likely to invent first that will make our energy needs a thing of the past? What's the ultimate source of energy? What could we do with infinite energy?

Anonymous No. 16272784

Harvesting the magnetic deflections from solar flares and objects hitting our magnetic field.

basically infinite energy if you can make it work

Tidal power
>don’t need sun
>don’t need wind
>don’t need fuel
>any body of water bigger than a catfish pond is an energy source
If we can get a foothold and keep thieving politicians & other conmen away there’s no reason all but the driest & most landlocked areas shouldn’t be powered by the seas

You're thinking of hydroelectric dams. Tidal energy harvesters avoid all those problems and just make electricity from gravity, no problem

antisemitism.
market manipulation is the only thing that makes energy expensive or limited

Antimatter annihilation would be ideal, obviously. According to the laws of physics, it has the highest theoretical energy release. Obviously it's not very practical, so nuclear fusion is the next best option. If we can't do fusion, the next best option would be dyson spheres since stars are naturally occurring fusion reactors. If it's too impractical to use dyson spheres, we could use ordinary solar power. The total solar flux the earth receives is more than enough for our energy needs, it's more of a cost and engineering problem now.
