๐Ÿงต Carbon imprint of a chicken

Let's say i'll feed my bugz to chickens and eat the eggs instead, how damaging would that for environment? Would that be sustainable in the long term?

>Would that be sustainable in the long term?
Yes. An animal will never be allowed to go extinct so long as it serves man. If the environment changes, humans will breed chicks to survive in that environment.

Environmentalism is a scare tactic made by communists to justify violating other people's rights. They do so because they are evil by nature.

Don't feed them insects as a regular part of their diet. Especially not as the only part of their diet. It is very bad for them. 90% of their diet is supposed to come from plants. You can give them insects as treats and they can have as many as they can forage. Besides that look into trophic levels. It takes less land to grow food for chickens than it does to grow food for the chickens' food. The same applies to you. It takes less land and fewer resources for you to eat your vegetables than it does to grow chicken food so you can eat the chickens or their eggs.

Literally just have 1/16th an acre per chicken and don't feed them at all.

I don't think mine would survive. The chicks do a lot better, but they always come home when I put out food. They've been catching and eating mice lately, so maybe that will change

Well you need a well secured yard.
I've got two acres fenced in and the fence is over grown and really nothing is penetrating it one way or another.
I was mainly meaning just their actual needs for sustenance.
I then feed them in the winter.
But during summer they will just find food and bugs, let the grass grow tall.

If it weren't the movement would have a focus on actual chemical damage to land and people's health.
But yes, there is 1% sincere concern in the movement. So, yes, correct, mostly. But in the "almost entirely" sense of "mostly".

1. i am an egoist thus i would do whatever i want and just will forget to tell the government. If i could make a private meat farm for humans and all it costed was the lives of 10000 indians per day, i would operate it and just from the fear of needing to pay taxes, never say a word to the government.
2. i said "he was right" as in >>16274224
was right. mainly in the /pol/ claim about who exactly decided that "having a lifestock is a bad thing". from 1. you should realize that i am pro-having a lifestock, hell, even a bit more pro than most people as this can include ANYTHING, even indians.

No, they already free range on a property with more than an acre per chicken. They don't feed themselves. The ones who come closest are the chicks.

Of course they come when you put out food. Doesn't mean they need it.
I get eggs 2/3 days in summer and never give them anything. Let

No, they need the food and most of the property isn't mowed. Instead of making baseless assumptions you should probably recognize that your situation cannot be ubiquitously applied to everyone.

What happens is they starve. You know you can just touch their crop to figure out how much they've been eating, right? Guess what it means when it feels like and empty hot water bottle.

You are going to be able to easily tell.
They aren't going to starve drama Queen.
Just pay attention as you slowly, SLOWLY, feed them less.
Could turkey no food won't give them a chance to figure out they need a new plan.
You could be correct, but they'll roam more and figure it out more than likely.
Only problem will likely be that if you don't feed them they will have little reason to hang around without fencing.
