Is there any scientific evidence behind frequencies either healing people or affecting their emotional state?

Placebo effect.

I am not totally against the idea that frequencies can alter our emotional state and to some extent even our physical state. This is how music basically works added to the social learning element that links certain types of music with certain moods. Yet the bandwidth of frequencies that can physically interact with human bodies in such a way it would manifest itself regardless of the social/perception factors the way you physically feel the heat of fire burning your skin regardless of what you've been taught to feel, is so narrow, it requires further research into fine-tuning even in the range of irrational frequencies.

It's called music. It changes your mood and emotional state.

There is evidence that music you enjoy will calm you down and improve your mood. There is no evidence that a specific kind of music makes a difference, only that the individual enjoys it.
