If you've ever submitted to a journal (i.e. am a real researcher) you would know most articles out of china are junk, and when editors take established journals to china it's also considered junk. Talk to top journal editors and they will tell you they throw out almost all submissions not from the US, and are really selective when you're from a shit institution (e.g. non-US)

Almost all top ranked journals are from the US, and almost all top ranked articles are from researchers in the US. Even Chinese researchers (those that can hack it) escape their country to the US tell you what a backwards shithole their home country is.

No more solid papers in engineering and physics that I needed. And the data, lit review I've required have always came from Asia in recent times, with some very technical paper came from EU (mostly france and germany) that developed frameworks/R library for my research instead of having to pay a "subscription", or worse, cpw (cost-per-work) model from the americans.
