If they keep going the same speed, the truck on the left should much further no?

Anonymous No. 16279186

You'd almost think that something going a kilometer an hour more would be ahead by 8 kilometers after 8 hours but that picture is clear proof otherwise.

have you attended 6th grade elementary school yet?

This is clearly a joke image about trucks passing other trucks super slowly.

yes. but also, maybe not.
they're what, 1m apart in 8 hours? think it's closer to 2, but let's roll with 1. doesn't matter for purpose of discussion.
in general, they should be 8km apart, assuming that is their average speed.
but also,
110 is anywhere between 110.499999999... and 109.5.
109 is anywhere between 109.499999999... and 108.5.

you assume 110 and 109 are exact numbers,

When you take precision into consideration, the two trucks could be anywhere between 15.999999... km and 0.0000000...1 km apart.

assuming the information from image though, you can give more precision to the 110 and 109 values.
1 m apart after 8 hours, so their speeds can differ at most 1/8m/h = 1/8000km/h.
that's 1.25*10^-4km/h.
so,
the faster truck can drive at most 109.5+1.25*10^-4km/h.
and
the slowest truck has to drive at least 109.49999...-1.25*10^-4km/h.

alternatively, you've taken a measure at a static point, and assumed their velocities were constant, but that assumption is wrong.

probably few more explanations there

OP you are a faggot.

what if the slower moving truck was on the inside of a bunch of curvy turns. it would travel less distance and be further ahead of the faster truck

it depends, if they keep going at the same speed, they will stay exactly the same relative to each other, but if they maintain the speeds shown in the image above, they will not.

i drive truck sometimes and this kind of situation only happens because people generally dont want to left off the throttle for half a second, or its on hill. it shouldn;t happen and good driivers dont let it.

Air resistance, speedometer innacuracy, and human or mechanical factors if they try to keep a 1 km per hour difference they will average almost the same speed in practice
