Unironically, it is based on a hidden ranking system similar to or possibly identical to ELO scores used in chess, etc. If higher ranked users swipe right on you, your score goes up, and vice versa. You are basically sorted into a percentile group based on how attractive you are and matched with similar people. It is done this way so attractive people don’t have to wade through thousands of fatties to find people they would be interested in. If you only ever seem to see fatties and single moms on your recommended list, it probably means you have a low rank.

I never downloaded a dating app because I reason it would provoke sexual arousal and lead to masturbation which is detrimental in the time it consumes, the post orgasmic anhedonia, and tendency to repeat again. The reason most men are unsuccessful is because they spend excessive amounts of time in sexual matters which drives them to drink and use weed as either proxies to sex or as copes because they aren't getting it. Usually when they settle into a relationship, the prolactin hit from actual sex is stronger so the sex drive is quelled but their still low motivation remains and are stuck in a rut waging fucking then doing menial house chores and gaming. Time is my most valuable resource and I refuse to waste it.
