has anyone ever tried to see what happens when you get all your hydration from fruits and vegetables?
is there a good reason not to try?

I mostly eat salads and fruits and I hardly feel the need to drink anything at all during most of the year. In the dry heat of the summer though, I do drink water as well, quite often.

Not exactly intentionally, but I’ve definitely gone summers where I’ve gotten the vast majority of my water from melons. A normal-sized watermelon easily has several liters of water in it, so you should be good with even a fraction of that.
