🧵 China To Build World's First Commercial Molten Salt Thorium Reactor

Anonymous No. 16298840

>China plans to start building the world’s first molten salt reactor power station next year in the Gobi Desert
>The reactor does not need water for cooling because it uses liquid salt and carbon dioxide to transfer heat and generate electricity
>Using thorium as its primary fuel, it means worries over a potential shortage of uranium – the usual fuel used in nuclear reactors – are allayed, as thorium is more abundant than uranium
>The reactor is scheduled to be completed and operational in 2029

Since the early 2010's, China has been testing and experimenting with their pebble bed molten salt thorium reactors. After a decade and a half, they'll start commercializing it by building their first thorium nuclear reactor in 2025, with completion in 2029. Once completed, they'll start building larger ones all over the country, and also commercialize them internationally.

Sure, we can let the Chinese alpha test Thorium. Best case scenario, they permanently solve their energy problem. Worse case scenario, they permanently solve their overpopulation problem.

They will succeed as long as they brutally mutilate and burn alive any jew or jewish agent that tries to sabotage it.

Just hope they don't fuck it up as Chinese often do and becomes yet another anti nuclear energy propaganda.

About time, I remember when all the enthusiasm regarding thorium reactors was picking up in the late 00s early 10s and I had wondered where it had went since.

They kinda are in the sense that they're not self sufficient in terms of food imports, but that's about it.
