We are just about at the 1 year anniversary of the completely fake and gay superconductivity breakthrough announcement that happened last summer, so here is a healthy reminder that you were stupid and gullible enough to fall for what was a total lie.
Why are IFLS faggots so dumb and low IQ? Why is it so easy to trick them? Has science figured this one out yet?

dumb things are dumb, you should expect half of the posters on /sci/ to be below 100 IQ

koreoids once again, in their attempt to rip off another shithead, failed to achieve anything of value.

at least i got to make some quick cash off TSMC.

I was presented with somewhat plausible reports of some very strange observations, so along with many others I watched the situation unfold with interest until the failures to reproduce made it clear that it was a nothingburger.
It was fun and I'll do the same next time. Having a jaded "nothing ever happens" response to anything unusual doesn't make you smart, it makes you boring.

nice cope, keep on being gullible and low iq

the reports were never plausible. the x-ray analysis was ass and what were basically immediate subsequent calculations yielded inconsistent results at best.

it's the kind of thing people in the field wanted to ignore, but couldn't because of the traction it had gained.

Dumb people are too dumb to figure out that they're dumb, thats why people like >>16302701 will always presume they're smart and come up with dumb excuses whenever their inevitably dumb behavior is pointed out to them

I called it and argued with people even here. Retards like to believe it's le hecking new era and that they are somehow immune to the temperature AND magnetic field restrictions of superconductivity. It's the same with fusion btw, there is no commercialization for these techs in the foreseeable future as they are so complicated it takes generations to figure out processing alone if they are even worth it at all.

Gee nothing really has changed in physics since the 1970s but I guess all of the sudden they are going to come up with some revolutionary now. I am optimistic about other more practical concerns like industry specific AI and broad automation that it enables in the next 20 years. What worries me is how 60-70% of society will react to being made redundant.

I remember how all the IFLS reddit fags here all immediately bought into to lie and lost their shit going crazy about how awesome it was and how powerful science is

I hope people can see why the relics of saints were treated with such respect. Humans are wired to treat authority as truth.

Couldn't be me, I knew this claim was dubious at best from the outset.

>>16302701
They were full of shit, the paper was an unpublished pre-print and one of the one video they showed had LK-99 coated in a thin layer of copper where they held a magnet up to it (which only demonstrated Lenz's law). The thing is even if it was a real RTSC, it wouldn't have mattered given how low the reported the critical current density was.

>authority
"Authority" and "authority figure" is two different things. the figure is a like a doll, its a symbolic stand in for something else, which means the figure itself has no authority of it's own, if it did it wouldn't need to be standing in for something else.

how many people here were gullible enough to actually believe the superconductivity hoax was true?
surely those of here who were taken in aren't so egotistic that they couldn't admit to having been fooled on an anonymous platform

There were certainly a lot of people hoping for weeks that it was true despite all the inconsistencies and the fact that multiple other research teams couldn't replicate their findings, furthermore the tourists that poured in here probably didn't stick around for long after the hype died off.
