Could the megalodon have reached 100+ tons in size? Note: This is what a 20+ meters and 100+ tons megalodon would look like. Ridiculously thick.

Genetically engineer blue whales to whave two mouths: One in the normal position, the other at the rear of their throat pouch, the rear set would be filled with bristles and opens as the front one does. Water passes through with krill continuously so lunge feeding is no longer required.
Eliminating lunge feeding reduces requirement to accelerate the entire body up to speed, instead basking can be done but at a fast scale. This unlocks practically unlimited whale size.
Now you get 30,000 tonne whales, thus have a niche for 100 ton sharks.

Like so. Probably have a tongue on the roof of the oral cavity to scrap debris of baleen. Whale just swims forwards at a constant pace to eat.
