Sheer insight mogs volume all day retard. Euler could only do math and some physics, Newton laid down foundations for math as a tool for a physics problem. Euler was a genius but not in the universal sense that newton was, who was also able to work with his hands and invent devices such as the reflecting telescope.

None, they all stood on the shoulders of giants and were in the right place at the right time. Lone genius types are a thing of the past in modern research, you can spend 200 years in a field like algebraic geometry alone.

If I had to vote I would say Von Neumann or Newton, but even then I'd still go back to my original point.

the thing that you call von Neumann architecture was entirely designed and developed by two gentlemen named J. Presper Eckert and John Mauchly. von Thiefmann joined the research group via his connections in the Army Research Laboratory as an advisor. I would disagree with naming only 1 person as the GOAT.
When someone is a genius, they transcend any concept of "ranking" and become part of a superior dimension.
People like Newton, Euler, Gauss, Einstein, all deserve to be mentioned together without the concept of "ranking". That shit is inferior thinking.

Newton looked up to Galileo I believe.

When it comes to discussions of physics, the fathers of statistical mechanics: Maxwell, Boltzmann, and Gibbs are always overlooked. Maxwell is mostly known for formalizing the laws of electrodynamics. Statistical Mechanics was a great leap however. It's the first time we theorized the unseeable, which we take for granted when studying quantum mechanics and particle physics. Many scientists at the time doubted the existence of particles just thought they were a mathematical trick as opposed to describing a real phenomenon. Their work is definitely the most groundbreaking physics since at least Newton. I will say with Newton, he was a mathematician, astronomer, theorist, and experimentalist which is pretty hard to beat.

All of it. Not everyone needs to understand it.

Tesla probably, he was on the right track, so they shut him down and we never saw his full potential. Other than that, Jesus I would say, but he was so far back in history that the language and recordings where shit to articulate and explain universal truths to the masses, so his message backfired immensely. And here we are, slaves of materialism.
