🧵 AI says its impossible to find the answer

You are only given the length of BO and the angle of Alpha (α). Find all the other lengths and angles. AI says you can't do it.

welp if AI says your homework is impossible it must be
better tell your teacher tomorrow

You obviously can't, imagine if you stretched point A out further (but still along the line BA), all the lengths would change but BO and alpha remain the same.

mf that's not even enough info for a 2d triangle why would it be enough info with the pyramid fuckin idiot

is M the midpoint of AB?

the base is assumed to be square.

I assume in the problem, its intended that the shape is a square pyramid with the top point directly over the center of the base, so that the cross section is isosceles.

So the assumption is that AO = BO? Why not state it then?

Maybe if you stated all assumptions in the problem then the AI could solve it?

Ah yes if we spoonfeed the AI maybe the AI can solve problems.
If it is so great at problem solving, it wouldn't need spoonfeeding on basic assumptions.
We know what to do now lads - climb wonky pyramids and shoot the Terminators from there!

Fucking subhuman ape filth
You define the problem even for grade schoolers and provide the assumptions as part of the definition of the problem
It is my hope that you commit suicide

1) "AI" you talked to is a language model
meaning its glorified chatbot that on the fly makes up bullshit thats close enough to looking like something real to fool retards
2) If you want better grasp of 3d geometry download mobile game called x-section
its free, doesnt have any ads and presents you with spatial problems of increasing difficulty (zero math, numbers or equations, just parralels and connecting points)

Then it's pretty easy with some basic trig and algebra

Well I can't solve it and I would guess it's impossibe. You only have one angle and a side. You need 2 sides and an angle or 2 angles and a side. The angle you have doesn't seem to me to tell you anything about any other angles or sides.
Not saying I'm right, but thats my guess.

>AI says its impossible to find the answer
Which means nothing. AI is completely stupid.
I assume this is a right square pyramid and MO is an altitude. (I know the base looks skewed, but I assume that is a perspective issue.)
In that case, MC=MB, so MB=MOcosα, and MB2+MO2=BO2. Two equations, two unknowns. The diagonal AC is just MB√2. After that, it all falls apart pretty quickly.
