The female scientist in picrel doesn't see the snake. What causes this?

Probably something regarding spatial awareness or pattern recognition.

I saw a frog. Does that mean I’m chosen by pepe’s greatness?

It's called 'female retardation'. It's the same reason they freeze when they're in danger or try to turn around when they're about to collide with another moving object instead of moving faster or jumping in the direction of the original momentum. The same goes for predators of all species. They just don't have that intuition.

Didn't she study frogs? In her case she might have overwritten that brain sector.

Birds, badgers, mongoose and many other animals eat snakes, its half the reason they evolved venom, most animals aren't just predator or prey, they can be either under different circumstances.

Interesting that snakes never developed eyes that cover attacks from above. IIRC, there's some that have some light sensitive cells on top of their heads, so they can detect a sudden shadow. Maybe over time that will evolve into something more complex.

What I meant is that they don't have the ability to detect possible danger and react to it when it's imminent, including predators and of course human males.

So do snakes only have a conic view like humans but to the sides like they can't see what's in front of them without turning their head? If so then that's such a bullshit mentality of God like don't change the design if it's good enough to reproduce. He should reprogram the evolutionary mechanism towards more optimal results instead of good enough results.
