I know this has to be simple math but I'm an idiot who's forgotten how.
Say I'm doing something that has a 60% success rate the first time, and if attempted again, has a 65% success rate. What is the combined success rate if I fail the first attempt and succeed the second? What is the math to explain that?

>if you want autistic details, using this: https://stattrek.com/online-calcula
>pop size 60, success in pop 7, sample size 7, successes in sample 1 followed by pop size 53, success in pop 7, sample size 7, successes in sample 1

You succeded once out of two attempts, so 50%. I hope this is what you meant, if not, learn english first.
