If you brought it here, the atmosphere would heat up and be lost, the water would melt and then sublimate, and the hydrocarbons would evaporate into space like a fart

Nah we want to crash icy comets into mars, burn them up in the atmosphere as much as possible. You would drastically strengthen the atmosphere with just a couple of them

It would still need a magnetosphere to protect both. The only reason Mar's lost its atmosphere and water is because it's core cooled down and solidified, causing the loss of its magnetosphere. There's been ways proposed to create an artificial one, or even "re-melt" its core to bring it back, but those are just pipe dreams.

Only above a certain size.
Mass and gravity is what makes them round.
Mimas there shows us roughly the smallest you can get while staying round, at about 400 km in diameter. Anything smaller than that will have an irregular potato shape

There is an overwhelming expanse of time for a solution to be devised before the thickened atmosphere is depleted.

Because it's built like a sponge. It's almost as big as Mimas on its longest axis, but it has only about 1/3rd the mass and density
