It is genetics and events that happened during your formative years (prepubescent and early puberty). Basically, if you have a slight predisposition and consume some media about it / identify with homosexual behaviour, you might get locked into it or bisexuality. On the other hand, if you had significant predisposition to homosexuality, there's basically nothing you can do.

This. Being gay is basically just another sexual deviation. It's just a fetish that was turned into social movement. If being gay is a form of sexuality then bestiality or coprophilia are sexualities as well. Sexual deviations happen frequently and almost all people have them to some degree. Oral and anal sex is also a sexual deviation btw, just more accepted.
