๐Ÿ—‘๏ธ ๐Ÿงต Science confirms Elon is wrong, bad, and his project is impossible

Anonymous No. 16368610

Elon fucked with science by unscientifically allowing misinformers to use Twitter. Now the scientific method is fucking back.

Really amused that the Party of Science, made up of people who have had lifelong dreams of an expanded space program and of electric vehicles everywhere, have been so easily manipulated into hating those things.

Elon need to pursue a spacecraft with radiation shielding to safely travel to Mars. He also needs to stop making cars out of '80s meme steel.

Niel always throws veiled insults at Elon. He can't just say anything he did was great. He always has to add why Elon is also doing something stupidly but can't name any better examples.

Naturally people who view the world exclusively through a narcissistic lens of ideological superiority are going to hate people who seem perfectly content and don't feel the need to act/think in certain ways to feel like they fit in with social consensus.

There's a quote I like by Plato that shows the pattern of society throughout all of history:
>Those who are able to see beyond the shadows and lies of their culture will never be understood, let alone believed by the masses.

The institutional/economic powers absolutely prefer conformity and absolute control over all else.
Even Blackrock CEO Larry Fink is open about what markets prefer:

Thankfully we have safeguards in place that protect people. Nonetheless, it still has effects on institutions like science, which more recently has been weaponized against people deemed dissidents.

Neil talks about NASA still essentially being the best at everything space related and says that Elon (instead of referring to Space X) isn't doing anything that NASA hasn't already done before and better.
Which is just sort of silly and petty. For one, the technology used by Space X has many reusable components that NASA never achieved, and also, NASA was being funded for Cold War purposes when it made their significant achievements. What has NASA really achieved since the moon landing?
If private sector was given equivalent funding to what NASA was receiving at one point, I'm confident progress would be far faster without bureaucratic nonsense involved.

NASA is just a public face for military actions these days. Perhaps it always was.

There were allegations that he got handsy with a few women and also made unwelcome sexual advances. Because he's Black Science Man, they weren't really taken seriously.

Ah, gotcha. I think I remember something about that a few years back. Never followed up, though.
