I’m actually doing pretty alright. Between per diem and my salary I cleared $240k last year. Hoping to get this contract renewed in February to keep going.

I just snitched your IP on form 3949-A online. If you're really US based, I'll post how much of your back taxes I got a cut off.

you know those penalties are only like 0.5% per month. if the stock market is doing really well, back taxes are a good investment lmao.

I have been hit by many barely manageable life troubles, of mine but also of my family and some friends. A lot of people slow me down. However im making steady progress towards becoming rich. These things just take time.
If i was married with kids i would be nearly impossible tho, i have seen married men of high intelligence and they are just spent with no spare time for any project nor any capital, they have a lot of debt.

I’m exactly below the federal cut off per diem rate for taxation for my location. That’s on purpose.

It adds up. I pay in April instead of giving Uncle Sam an interest free loan for a year. I can make at least 5% off that money just by letting it sit in a money market account with the current interest rates. I funnel all my expenses through a cash back credit card and pay the balance every month. I also have an LLC that makes just enough profit to keep the IRS off my back while I write off dinners with my wife and vacations as “business expenses”. Trumps temporary tax policy of letting people depreciate capital expenditures %100 in the fiscal year let me buy a new “work truck” and it was pretty sweet. Sorry your accountant isn’t a Jew.

Who doesn't?
>I can make at least 5% off that money just by letting it sit in a money market account with the current interest rates.
While losing 8% quarterly?
>I funnel all my expenses through a cash back credit card
That's a rebate, not income. It just means you've negotiated a better price for goods and services by joining a union.
>pay the balance every month.
Why? If you make more than 8% quarterly, you should arb the spread on 12% APR.
>write off dinners with my wife and vacations as “business expenses”
This is where I'll get most of my snitch cut from

It’s not what you know, it’s what you can prove. How do you know that 2 of those 6 cocktails wasn’t for a “potential client” I was entertaining? Prove I didn’t meet with another “potential client” when I was in Telluride or Prescott. I got enough homies in the industry to vouch for me in that respect. It’s all a big good ol’ boys club where we scratch each others backs. Guys much, much wealthier than me do this shit openly and the IRS just kinda shrugs and says OK. They go after guys who are either blatantly cheating or don’t have the good sense to create a CYA paper trail.

I said at least. That a bare minimum worst case example if I did nothing else. I’m also rather lazy so I do simple shit like running the wheel on dividend stocks where I don’t have to do too much market research.

The credit card thing is leveraging other peoples financial irresponsibility to squeeze a couple extra percent out of money I’d spend anyways. You can call it a rebate if you want but it’s still fungible currency I can use. And as for why I pay the balance, I actually pay once a week to keep my credit score ~800.

Enlighten me as to how I’m “losing” 8% quarterly.

8% is underpaid taxes.

Lol so you're larping. No legitimate credit card posts a balance in between statement cuts.

They don’t post statements. But the payment still shows up on your credit report and more frequent payments boosts your score. How do you not know this?

I don't know who told you that but, no, spreading out payments within a single monthly cycle isn't reported. Best practice for card history is to cut at least one statement balance at or over the limit to print a highwater mark then pay it off at the next due date so you don't pay interest.

I 1099 every quarter for my side hustle and take the maximum exemptions for my w2 day job that keep me flying under the IRS radar. Been doing this for 6 years now and never had a problem. I’m happy squeezing a couple extra percent but I balance that with enough plausible deniability to keep from getting a visit. Like all things money related, it’s risk management. I cover my ass.

Bro, I bumped myself 10 points by doing that across all three credit reporting companies. Maybe I’m not catching the exact mechanic, but it’s not stupid if it gets results.

Chase bank visa.
They post charges as they happen and yes you can pay weekly. Including amount due to date It sounds like you are the one with a funky bulkshit cc. I bet you have a scam card like capital one.

Who cares. Chasing credit scores is retarded. Just grow you cash balance and pay on time and you will be in a top precentile. Having more assets is way more impactful. I basically ignore my credit score and have an elite score.

It’s not like I do anything. It’s all set on an autopay schedule with me checking at the end of the month to see if I’ll be over/under. *shrug* free gains are free gains.

Anonymous No. 16368810

>>16368805
I do that too. My checking account is zero at the end of the month because it all goes into a brokerage with distros automatically set up. I set up options plays once a month and forget about it. It’s 2024, micromanaging finances is completely unnecessary.

I had the Palladium when I was at Fortress but just have the normal Sapphire Reserve now. Neither card ever reported charges as they happen. My guess is that you're saying you can see the charges in your own account? Yes. But the balance only gets reported when your statement cuts.
