how come so many hurricanes were forecast for this year when its common knowledge that sunspot activity depresses hurricane activity?
are the climate scientists who made the forecast so ignorant of basic science that they didn't even know about the inverse relationship between sunspots and hurricanes?

the hurricane soientists are now declaring non-storms to be hurricanes and justifying their decision based on a made up peak gust near 35mph that supposedly happened in the middle of nowhere where conveniently nobody except themselves were observing.

Meanwhile, in reality...three named storms that cause minimal damage. The weather as a whole this year has been fairly innocuous besides the big random hail storm in Denver metro area, but that always happens along the front range.
