Why do Orcas recognize humans as their friends and don't attack them but sharks can potentially chimp out?

How do the former know?

>Orcas get annoyed by the large increase in small ship traffic with shit engines that are obnoxiously loud and high pitched
>Um, it's teenage Orcas trying to show off!
Come on now.

Orcas figured out how to kill sharks - on an industrial scale, and they learn from each other. Orcas move in and soon beaches are full of dead sharks missing their livers.

Here's a legitimate question about orcas. What the hell forced natural selection to give something like an orca fake prey defense eyes? Something was preying on them at some point and I can't imagine what given they're already known to bully and rip the tongues out of whales and nothing that I'm aware of preys upon even smaller dolphins. What the hell forced those fake orca eye patterns?

It could have also just been a sex thing where the lady orca was like "ooh cool eye patch" and the dude orca was like "damn baby wanna turn upside down and rub bellies for 2 minutes?"

Might be useful in attacks rather than defense. Also they snack on giant squid but perhaps on of the even larger but now extinct squid species used to snack on them.

It might be from encounters where we refer to them as "Orca", which they might be able to recognize as meaning that we have a word for them, therefore we have language and intelligence like they do.
