The sound a person hears when they put a finger in their ear is often due to the amplification of internal sounds, like blood flow or movement of air. This can cause a rushing or whooshing noise, known as "occlusion effect," where external sounds are blocked and internal sounds become more noticeable.

Very true. I hate noise. I hate music. I need silence to explore the deep thoughts in my mind. Fuck NPCs. Their brains are empty and that's why they need to fill the void with sound.

I'm a sensitive to sounds and I often use earplugs to sleep. Sometimes I hear what sounds kind of like a modem or other electronic signal. My best guess is that a small cavity or layer of fluid created by the earplug acts as a cavity/resonator and picks up wifi or other signals. I'm totally not hallucinating.

This makes no sense. Do you have data to back up this theory? Maybe false correlation?
