๐๏ธ ๐งต big IQ thread
Anonymous at Tue, 8 Oct 2024 17:35:46 UTC No. 16415954
what's the scientific reasons /sci/ is the worst board on 4chan?
is it related to moderator IQ (i brought up IQ, so now this is an official /sci/ thread)
why do the mods allow all this unscientific bullshit?
why call a board one thing, and let it degenerate into its exact opposite, while actively deleting threads that have far more to do with science and math than 90% of the catalog?

What threads are being deleted? I come here intermittently, but I don't usually catch any of those threads that may have been deleted.
It is a shame to see so much pseudoscience spread across this board. I saw one thread with people who think that hurricanes can somehow be made/controlled by mankind. Really unfortunate to see logic devolve so much.

First consider why this board was even made in the first place

>/sci/ is the worst board on 4chan
/pol/ is the worst board on 4chan.

Yeah, /pol/ is worse, but /sci/ could be doing a lot better. A LOT better.

90% of threads are "people" from pol, biz, fis or v spamming their bs.
They know that's bs but some anons seems to have a serious complex against "nerds" even if in this board there are almost none left...
>sci is more like polsci

the fact that thread is still up is why i created this one
>/pol/ is the worst board on 4chan
half of /sci/ is just /pol/ with the words "scientifically speaking" prefixed to the vitriol
i'd rather wade through 100 stupid STEM homework questions, at least that would promote scientific-oriented discussion (but it's explicitly disallowed by the board rules)

Yeah, I was complaining about why such a thread like that is up in the first place. It honestly feels more like a forced meme than something someone actually believes, doesn't it? How can someone be so stupid as to think humans have the power to create hurricanes, let alone control them?

poe's law is half of 4chan, which is part of the fun, but i am legitimately convinced that that's not the explanation for a lot of the threads on this board

a) Cult of Passion honestly makes me lose interest
b) If you actually talk about interesting stuff it's too easy for people to recognize you online.
c) In general things are only fun if there are people who will pour their time into running them, but then see points b and a

just filter the schizos and all the /pol/ hallmarks. the idyllic /sci/ has no climate change threads, no 1 = .999... threads, no race realism threads, no threads that relate academia with partisanship, no frogposters, no wojakposters, no peat retards, no vaccine threads, no high school genetics threads, and no threads positing revolutionary scientific discovery without providing their easily debunkable source.

The moniker of "science" attracts all kinds of idiots looking for unchallenged validation of their beliefs fed to them through popsci misunderstandings, conspiracy theories and supernatural junk.
It also draws people who imagine themselves a lot smarter than they actually are.

i 100% agree
people come here looking for others to justify their shit opinions because they are too stupid and uncritical to come up with arguments themselves or accept that they may be wrong about a particular issue

i used to do that. 90% of the catalog vanishes

Everyone including OP in this thread is committing a life crime with twisted logic purported to be reality. Who cares if it's real or unreal, what does realness have to do with science?

it's not about science, it's about readability. unreal stuff is boring, and useless to engage with because if you put real effort into talking one retard down from his hill ten others will pop up the next day.

Look how these threads pop up all the time, it's just the wacky anti-psychotic left pouring their tears into a repetitive complaint until there's big change from possibly law enforcement. So they can continue to exploit the world and newborns with their false system, driving us to extinction with false truth about space faring, while we applause them for their rockets that take the lead. Also giving us false help with climate change. Trust me, all OP wants is more pleasure and continued stupid system. He just wants to commit a crime against us.
