Okay so I live in Tampa and don't have a car. What are my chances on surviving this hurricane without shutters?

This depends entirely on what zone you're in. A-C? You're completely fucked and should get to a shelter. D-E? You might get off lightly if you're lucky.

My dad's house is in zone B in Charlotte county. The whole neighborhood is deserted and I'm half expecting his trailer to not be there when he comes back from the East Coast after this storm is over.

Not the time faggot.

Also, the climate change related evidence for increasing frequency of severe storms is incredibly weak and speculative. Trying to do a literature review on the topic you'll find as many discussion sections warning people about extrapolating from spurious data as you will actually evidence for climate change related storm intensification.

You can believe in the general problem without falling hook line and sinker for every bit of academic snakeoil some dickhead at a progressive political thinktank dreams up.

If you don't have a car in America the chances of surviving are small anyway.
