why even ask this question when everyone has already known the answer.
previously, like 20 years ago, being a woman in STEM is respectable. now you just assume the woman is a semi-crazy DEI hire because most of the time it is. you can only hope that you don't get fucked by them going apeshit on you. and by that, I mean, minimizing the interactions with them.
I know a L8 50-60 ish years old woman at a big tech company who is a 2nd wave feminist and hates those new DEI hiring practices, so much that she actually went on a rampage and did a series of presentations of what gender diversity and equity should look like (hint: it's not about quota and equal presentation).

they already understand that, that's why they mostly push the buzzword "equity" (assistance, favoritism, redistribution to make everyone equal). always a massive red flag when they use that word.
