if the test sufficiently reflected IQ, this would only tell you about the differences in IQ between those of group A and group B that choose to join the police force. But why would there be a difference?
Because if subject A is more likely to be accepted into and receive outside financial support to attend an enticing law school than a psychometrically identical subject B, then subject A will be less likely to take the police exam. They will go to law school and become a prosecutor or a federal agent.
Whereas subject B is going to save the tuition costs, join the force, and work toward detective.

Also if subject B is going to be far more likely to get shit from family or friends for joining the police force, they will be less likely to join. Except for the based retards who go in an take the exam, fail, and go on to salute veterans at their grocery bagging gig. god love em
