Why is pic related a thing? I know it's trendy and useful and whatever, but aren't biologists already studying brain? Why introduce a separate field?

It's a bullshit field. All relevant research on the brain is already done by neurologists, i.e. in medicine. "Neuroscience" is just some cringe psychology larp where they pretend that their trivial pop philosophy was somehow scientific because they associate it with MRI scans.

I was hoping to see something really interesting, but instead it's just normies getting their minds blown because they're not used to understanding or dealing with lag. Like, if I play a game, and there's input delay, its usually obvious that there's delay, so this trick flat out wouldn't work on me because I know what it's like to play a game with close to instant response. You disappoint me for linking to something that seems to be building up to something insanely technical and philosophical, then turns out to be this nerd just making the shittiest flash game ever.
