There are quite a few viruses that impact our health by triggering an allergic-like response (so we will spread the virus through droplet projection).
Colds mostly work this way. If you caught two colds at the same time, you would not be twice as sick.
I honestly don't know if an allergy can make a person appear stupid. I would be reluctant to assume that a person who appeared stupid and had allergies was going to be smart if the allergic reaction subsided.

Urticaria means hives and allergic rhinitis/conjunctivitis mean allergy-induced sneezing and eye irritation. Neither of these affect a person's ability to perform on talk shows, and the person making this post just saw big words and got scared of them.

Conjunctivitis is an inflammation of conjunctiva, it can be caused by plenty of shit other than viruses including allergy

I have some sort of allergy to several things that causes severe headaches that drop my IQ by about 50 points for as long as the reaction lasts so I know it's possible. The headaches make it really hard to hold anything in my mind and make thinking feel like walking through sludge. Before I figured out that it seemed to be caused by some sort of allergy, my short term spatial memory was tanked so totally that I could practically get lost in a 10ft by 10ft patch of grass and had to rely on other people or GPS for navigating everywhere all the time. I also had to drop out college midway through because I suddenly couldn't do basic algebra half the time when before I was a 4.0 math major.
Though unfortunately I test as negative for reactivity to all the standard allergen proteins, and my symptoms fluctuate between normal allergy symptoms (stuffy nose, sneezing, coughing, rashes, difficulty breathing, etc.) and just pure headache and weird blood flow/nervous system stuff, so whatever exactly is going on with me has been written off by doctors as psychosomatic even though to me it undeniably isn't. My best guess atm is that it's some kind of autoimmune encephalitis/meningitis that gets set off by normal allergies after sufficient duration/intensity of exposure or maybe some kind of cranial hypertension involving spinal fluid overproduction, maybe.
Tbh now that the possibility has been brought up I could totally believe that Kamala has a similar thing going on based on her conversational style and it makes me more sympathetic to her, though I still think neither her nor Trump belong anywhere near the presidency.
