In terms of the pure thermodynamics of staying alvie, there isnt. Humans do need some protiens they cannot make and do need vit C and numerous other exogenous micronutrients, so not all calories have the same total nutritional value. This is implied, anon.

the only people who believe that are people who have zero scientific training or background in this field, everyone else knows that different foods have different digestive profiles and that the sugars in vegetables digest much, much faster than animal fats do. if you want to lose weight you can eat bacon and eggs for breakfast, not be hungry again until dinner and easily stay well below your daily calorie burn every day for as long as you want.

The US government used to have a website about the dangers of a vegan diet. The dangers included things like osteoporosis, lack of vitamin b12 and lack of iron because the green leafy vegetables that have high iron also contain iron inhibitors making it difficult for your body to absorb iron. They warn that you won't even notice your body isn't getting enough minerals until you hit 40 or 50 then you'll start falling apart.

This is also why vegans and vegetarians don't live any longer than meat eaters. They're just exchanging one disease with another. Sadly the website was deleted, I'm guessing it made vegans mad. Poor sad vegans.
