I can't believe climate change denial is a thing.
>temperatures are rising at an alarming rate
>pollution causes effects on the environment
>we have record temperatures in the last decade
These are all facts. I don't know how it can be denied unless it is motivated by selfish desires (oil companies, politics, convenience, status quo).
If you keep pushing conspiracy theories without any evidence to back them up you are no different than a flat earther. You don't even need to "trust the experts" because you can personally experience it (again, unless you try to cover the sun with a finger).

That's why climate change is the better term so idiots like you don't think it's all fake. Put more energy into the system and the peaks and troughs get larger. Also local cooling effects can still occur even if the global average is being raised.

Maybe you should just stop putting your sensors on concrete pads in urban heat islands.
>pollution causes effects on the environment
Pretty vague statement that isn't necessarily global warming.
>we have record temperatures in the last decade
That is what happens when you adjust the data to make it seem that way.
>If you keep pushing conspiracy theories without any evidence to back them up
Aren't you the one who basically just tried to present some vague conspiracy that trailed off to oil companies, politics, convenience, status quo?
>You don't even need to "trust the experts" because you can personally experience it
I can't experience global temperature, I can only experience the weather around my home which has not had any particular alarming rate of temperature rise, the summer was mostly 80s like usual and we had less over 100 degree weather this year than the last 5 years.

People are just sick of people saying all global warming is caused by humans, when some of it is natural. When you hear people saying 'global warming' is bad and must be stopped, they're acting like some of it isn't natural, and that it wouldn't heat up eventually anyway. It's just accelerated because of humans. 'Man-made climate change' is a silly term, because it's not entirely man-made. It's just propaganda and lying to get people to do what you want, try being honest. (and just because the globe is warming, doesn't mean it's bad. just because it's bad for some places, doesn't mean it's bad generally, some land gets freed up).

Why would those sensors record higher temperatures each year? Wouldn't the concrete heat up just as much each year instead of getting hotter year after year?

As they expand their sensor network operations and development occurs around them while more and more of the independent stations are controlled by climate change activists, they are piecewise putting a larger portion of the total cache of sensor on concrete pads in heat islands. Similar to how hurricanes are "causing more damage" because damage is measured financially and they continue to actively rebuild and expand development in hurricane prone areas, so there is more stuff to be destroyed and the figures seem to keep going up each time.

It doesn't, the global temperature doesn't even go up year after year, the upward trend is over decades, not between each and every year.

Because the data is inconclusive? Nobody is disputing that man made pollution affects the planet. The dispute is over to which degree models which predict that man made pollution is the most significant contributor are materiallt accurate and not made in bad faith.

As an individual you can directly sequester carbon using biochar and you will derive benefits from doing so. Just buy crushed lump charcoal and use it for anything that doesn't result in it being burned. You can eat it or feed it to your animals to improve digestion, reduce fecal odor, and decrease the amount of methane and nitrous oxide produced by gut flora. You can put it in your compost to decrease leeching, increase the heat and speed, increase the quality of the compost, and reduce the methane and nitrous oxide produced by the pile. You can use it in place of gravel for drainage applications. You can charge it with nutrients and microbes and then use it to amend soil for a ton of different benefits. Every pound of biochar you use sequesters the equivalent of 3.3 pounds of carbon dioxide for much longer than any other sequestration strategy.

This is true for your food as well. When you go to the grocery store and see fruits and fresh vegetables on the shelves this winter those will not be locally grown either. The same is true for much of the meat, depending on where you live.

What are you even talking about? This is a problem for (You) because things aren't all sourced locally. These goods come from all over the place, which means that a disaster in any one of the areas you get your shit from means that, at minimum, the cost of those goods will rise. Yeah, you can import your tomatoes from somewhere else if your supplier can't give you what you want but that means you then go to another supplier who already has clients and those clients have money just as green as yours, so suppliers raise prices and sell to the highest bidder.

And all of this just takes us back to the original question: If climate "scientists" were lying to the public, taking advantage of ultra-low-IQ people who are easily scared by end-of-the-world predictions, how would the average person know?
Would we see, for example, countless predictions of the Arctic becoming ice-free in the summer by such-and-such a year that never came true?
How many of those predictions would have to be wrong before we could consider the theory debunked?
They can easily lie to the public about the global average temperature because they control that data, but they can't change the number of hurricanes. When they keep saying it's going up, but all the hard data shows it going down, can we consider their theory debunked?

Let's recap what happened. The one guy made the claim that hurricanes are on the decline by referencing US landing hurricane numbers, which proves that climate change isn't real. He used NOAA data as his source for this claim. The other guy pointed out that this is a cherry picked metric because it doesn't account for hurricanes in general. The first guy then claimed that there wasn't any other metric that would show anything other than that hurricanes are decreasing. I posted that one, from the same NOAA source. This took about 15 seconds.
You chimed in to dispute the legitimacy of the data to say I'm not "own"ing the guy, when I'm literally just referencing the same source that the guy was using in the first place, to make his claim. But fine just throw out ACE, if you just go by number of hurricanes, you can see they're not on the decline.

CO2 is what plants breath, your "climate change" can be rebranded as plant paradise "global greening."
As you've noticed climate scientists have spent decades exaggerating the danger and urgency, the reality is that no one is allowed to published a balanced take on what more CO2 means
CO2 is not pollution. It's relatively harmless, considering how important energy is to our lives.
The reason that the climate change hoax is pushed and funded so heavily is that global elites need more excuses to control people while their financial pyramid scheme flounders

They might be facts. But it could just as easily all be lies. Trust is not very high right now. We know they have at least exaggerated in past, claiming everything would be underwater by various dates that came and went.

Im watching the dev since the sea surface temperatures are out of control.
something tells me that it could happen pretty quickly.
my interest is mainly driven by curiosity as to how such an inert system compensates for a lack of recovery.
me and a good friend are speculating on a kind of phase shift.
the amount of humidity this could bring into the atmosphere is like a stephen king horror story.

So? Dinosaurs lived in much hotter climate and the world is still here. The earth wont burn away retards it just changes a little. Humans will still be running around just like before
>But but some regions will turn to desert!
So? and some regions will turn green because more heat. Plants need heat to grow

>The atmospheric greenhouse effect is a topic in many science courses. A number of lecture demonstrations with carbon dioxide purport to show how infrared-absorbing atmospheric gases “trap” energy. The demonstration described here shows that the temperature change observed in these demonstrations is a consequence of the density of carbon dioxide relative to air, not its infrared-absorbing property. Since the pedagogical value instructors report for the usual demonstration is based on an incorrect interpretation of the temperature change and can lead to a misconception about global warming, suggestions are made for possible replacement demonstrations
Hahaha, got any replacements professor?
